Her love will never die. But everyone else will.
I was writing and developing a feature horror project with a New York-based production team when this story popped into my head. The feature was pretty dark, so this came as a nice (but still delightfully fucked-up) palate cleanser. I sent it their way for a laugh, but also on the off-chance they’d want to produce. They loved it and a couple months later we were shooting. The budget was very low and the shoot was quick and dirty. I got incredibly lucky with Vi Flaten, a brilliant actress who brought a beautifully controlled insanity to the lead role (a rare and legitimately hard thing to achieve). This shoot also yielded one of my favorite outtakes of all time.
